Congratulations to the Pinewood Restaurant in Prestwick’s Main Street which has won a formal dining accolade from Eat Scotland. If the award sounds a bit stuffy, don’t worry, the moniker is more a reflection of the high standard of cooking, and Chef Leslie Leak’s serious attitude to his food, than to a preponderance of starch and silver cloches. The Pinewood revels in being part of the Prestwick community and local produce features strongly on the menu.
